Looking at these photographs, this room has undergone so many changes. There are definitely points at which I feel we made it worse before it got better, but with having to take fake wood panelling off the walls, it was fairly inevitable, I suppose. The walls should be re-plastered, but we need to take everything out of most of the house to be able to achieve this, so it's not going to happen until we have enough money to be able to plaster AND pay someone to pack and move everything for us and store it for a few weeks.
